mnml 0.3.5
Release notes for mnml 0.3.5, where each integration shows one statusline chip and its hover says the numbers in words.
mnml 0.3.5 is the release where each integration shows one statusline chip. Bitbucket PRs and Jira Work each fold their counters into that one chip, and its hover says each number in words. The Segments menu names the chips in words too, every chip's right-click menu has a Hide row, the Bitbucket PRs chip no longer turns into the Pipelines icon, and a chip's hover reads as one block that grows to its widest line. Its Marketplace index names Jira and Bitbucket 0.2.4, which carry the integration side of the change.
This release is 1 contributor over 17 commits since 0.3.4.
Highlights
One chip per integration
Bitbucket PRs and Jira Work used to spread their counts over two or three statusline chips. Each now shows one.
The Bitbucket PRs chip reads your open pull requests first, then the review threads on them, then the pull requests waiting on your review. Each further count has its own small icon and is left off at zero. The chip turns yellow while a review thread on yours waits on someone, and orange while anything waits on your review. Opening the Bitbucket pane keeps the thread count on the chip, since the pane counts threads from the same shared cache.
The Jira Work chip carries the QA Actionable Now count beside the assigned one.
A click on either chip opens its pane. Installing Jira and Bitbucket 0.2.4 takes the old second and third chips off the row. See On the statusline: one chip each.
The hover says the numbers in words
An integration chip's hover says each number in words, one line apiece, such as 3 open pull requests of yours (2 still unapproved) and 2 waiting on your review. The hover reads as one block: the counts at the title's weight, then the integration's notes, then what a click runs, then the shared rate-limit lines last. The box grows to its widest line, up to the width of the screen, instead of cutting the breakdown at a fixed width. See A statusline chip says what it counts.
Chips named in words, and Hide on every chip
Right-click the statusline between its chips: Segments ▸ lists an integration's chip by what it counts, as in Bitbucket PRs: pull requests, review threads, waiting on you, not by its id. A chip's own right-click menu now ends with Hide.
A chip you hid no longer takes room from the ones still shown. When the row has no room for a chip, Segments ▸ marks it (no room on the row) and says how many chips are hidden for width, so a chip no longer drops off the row silently. A chip that does not fit is left off whole instead of being cut.
Smaller changes
- Opening Bitbucket Pipelines no longer turns the Bitbucket PRs chip's icon into the Pipelines one.
- An integration manifest's statusline segment takes an optional
label, the few words the Segments menu shows for it.

Upgrading
Homebrew, winget and the installers move you to 0.3.5 on your next upgrade:
brew upgrade mnmlwinget upgrade ChrisMcLennan.mnmlOr run the installer for your platform again, from Install. winget is Microsoft's community repository and merges each version on its own schedule, so 0.3.5 can reach it some time after the other channels.
Then open the Marketplace tab under INTEGRATIONS: an installed Jira or Bitbucket 0.2.3 reads update available. The one-chip statusline needs 0.2.4 of both. See Marketplace.
